The Taxi Service Fighting for Indonesia’s Disabled Community
After a childhood bout with polio left him in crutches, Triyono understood firsthand how difficult it could be for those with disabilities to access public transportation. He wanted to do whatever he could to help mobilize Indonesia’s disabled community and thus founded Difa City Tour and Transport. The taxi service is entirely staffed by those with disabilities, and is devoted to serving disabled passengers. Passengers contact the service with their time, place and special need, and a motorbike is sent to pick them up. Along with his employees, Triyono is building a world built for everyone.
