The Sulawesi Tarictic Hornbill’s Flight for Survival
This is Sylvester, a three-year-old Sulawesi tarictic hornbill. Native to Indonesia, this bird has a distinct long and down-curved beak. It mainly feeds on fruit and the occasional small animal. But its tropical habitat is diminishing due to habitat destruction, and it is also being hunted for food and the illegal pet trade. Can it survive these imminent threats?
