The New Faces of Georgia’s Justice System
Just outside Atlanta, a group of women are making history in Georgia’s court system. The city of South Fulton is home to the United States’ only court run entirely by African-American women. Chief Judge Tiffany Carter Sellers and her colleagues are intent on changing people’s perceptions of the legal system, beginning with their municipal court. By setting a precedent in South Fulton, they hope to stand as a model for what a court in a progressive city can look like.
