The Art of Canning the Sea
Canned fish has been around for over a century and has been enjoyed around world. Still, no one loves their fish more than Portugal, where old traditions of fishing, canning and trading have come together to create an art form. What first began as a method of preserving fish in the 19th century has now become a strong part of Portuguese identity. Although, globally, many factories have moved to fully industrialized processes, one factory in the north of Portugal maintains their artisanal roots, fueled by the hands of its passionate workforce and delivering a taste unlike any other.
