Meet Bubble, a long-tailed chinchilla at the Greater Vancouver Zoo. She’s tiny, an expert rock climber, and beyond adorable. These little rodents are hard to spot in the wild, living nearly 4,000 feet above sea level in the Andes Mountains. Their thick coat serves as a natural protection against parasites. Unfortunately, chinchillas have long been coveted in the fur trade, leaving the species critically endangered.
