Meet the Filmmakers Behind ‘Ramadan Around the World’

We’ve spent the month of Ramadan enjoying iftar dinners with 10 Muslim families from California to Cairo thanks to the hard work of some talented filmmakers stationed around the globe. Meet a few of those filmmakers who (somewhat reluctantly) pulled themselves out from behind the camera to talk about what shooting this series meant to them. “As humans, no matter what our background is, we always have many more things in common than our differences,” said filmmaker Didem Tali, who filmed Emine Saglam and her family in Istanbul.
