Go Ahead, Laugh at Her
Danielle Perez has overcome significant challenges in her life. She lost her feet at age 20 following a train accident. Afterward, she suffered from eating disorders and depression. But Perez doesn’t want to be your inspiration. Nor does she want you to call her brave. She simply wants to make you laugh. The Los Angeles native discovered her love for stand-up comedy three years ago, and she’s been addicted to the stage ever since. It was through comedy and being able to tell her story that Perez found healing. Now her success knows no bounds. Since her first open mic, Perez has gone on to perform at comedy clubs and festivals around the country and appear on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”
