From Farm to Cloud: Korean Air’s First-Class Secret Ingredients
Jeju, a volcanic island off the coast of South Korea, is home to many natural and manmade wonders. From Mount Halla, a dormant volcano and the country’s highest mountain, to the island’s pristine sandy beaches, it’s a location unlike anywhere else. The organic farm that supplies the fresh ingredients for Korean Air’s first-class meals also calls Jeju home. Since 1972, Je-Dong farm has provided the premium, environmentally-friendly beef, free-range chicken, zesty peppers and cherry tomatoes that passengers have come to expect. With these quality ingredients—all fed by Jeju’s artesian, volcanic–filtered water—Korean Air is redefining the concept of farm-to-table, all at 35,000 feet.
