Exploring the Ocean’s Nursery | The Aquatic World with Philippe Cousteau, S2 EP 1
EPISODE 1 – THE SARGASSO SEA
Captain’s Log: Captain Cousteau here, back aboard the Desiree. Today we find ourselves in the Sargasso Sea, the only body of water without a land boundary. It’s home to the eponymous sargassum seaweed and serves as a nursery for many of the Atlantic Ocean’s infants. Unfortunately, the Sargasso is also the site of one of mankind’s most flagrant oceanic offenses: the North Atlantic garbage patch.
