A Chosen Home for the Holidays

The holidays are a time for togetherness, but for many without a home to return to, they can also be lonely. At the DC Center for the LGBT Community, chosen family gather to celebrate Thanksgiving. Whether you hail from Uganda or Nebraska, what better way to share your culture than through food? The center turns into a home away from home, a space for everyone, regardless of background, to break bread and form family over food. Pull up a chair and join author, actor and activist Nico Tortorella in getting to know this welcoming crew.
